Alpine Vista Front Office Building

Our Community Service Projects

American Heart Association - Jump Rope for Heart Jump-a-thon
Every year students raise funds for the American Heart Association. In return, the students receive prizes from the AHA. Every student on campus then participates in the school JumpA-Thon to raise awareness about healthy living choices. We have a lot of parent volunteers who also come out and help. It is a lot of fun and we urge you to join us at this event.

Lighthouse Rescue Mission - Coins for Caring
Alpine Vista School, along with other Tulare City Schools, collects change donations from students and families. All the donations benefit the Lighthouse Rescue Mission in Tulare. We appreciate our student's efforts as it benefits our own families in our community.

Penny Wars
During the school year, students and staff participate in raising money for student council through penny wars. Each classroom has a bin for collection. For one week, students bring in money to help with our student council funds. What do we do with the money??? This year we managed to have an end of the year Eagle Extravaganza with lots of fun events all over the school. We are also having an assembly for Red Ribbon Week and an assembly to bring awareness through caring for one another called Rachel’s Challenge.

Tulare Masonic Lodge - Canned Food Drive
Collaborating with the Tulare Masonic Lodge, our students and their families bring in canned foods for local agencies in need. This event happens in the winter months, normally in conjunction with the holidays. This year we had so many cans they said it was the
most collected! Way to go Eagles!

Tulare Police Department - Toys for Tots
During the month of December, students and staff can drop off new, unwrapped toys in the office. The office has a bin for collection, and the Tulare Police Department picks up all donations. These toy donations go to needy families in the area for Christmas gifts.

United for Good
This year Alpine Vista is coming together to raise money for Heroes Play Games. Heroes Play Games hosts an annual 24-hour gaming marathon and fundraising streams to support Valley Children's Hospital, rallying fellow gamers and sponsors. With unwavering dedication, they alleviate the burdens of illness for young patients and their families, harnessing the transformative power of gaming to make a difference in healthcare for children. Through their efforts, Heroes Play Games demonstrates that gaming can be a force for positive change in the world. Join us in supporting such an amazing organization by purchasing your 24-25 UFG shirt we wear every Wednesday to show that we are United For Good!
